I'm sad that my life is what it is, and my 2nd husband whom I divorced due to his violence towards my now deceased son is living a great life. He's driving his dream car, not working, because his wife supports him and bought him the car. They are not that rich but she would do anything for him.

I'm divorced, single, alone, no one would do anything for me in life. I work to afford some of my many wants. A put myself in debt to afford more. I'm just feeling sad tonight. I have no one to rely on well technically I do, but for day to day stuff not really.

Just having a feel sorry for myself kind of day.

@Aviza I am sorry for the loss of your son. That must weigh heavily on a mother.

One thing I try to remember when I see people covering themselves in riches, what makes a good life is not more things, but how much we have done to help our children, our families, our friends and the world. It may not seem like a lot, but looking back one thing I did was just make it through rough times and not be bitter. I stopped judging others as better off than me because I saw when they dropped their masks, they really were not happy or secure. The people I emulate give to others with empathy and kindness. That is a legacy no one can take away from me.
