okay I have always had a desire to move. problem my support system is where I am. I have a good job. I have a nice apartment. my life is basically good. Why do I want to uproot myself so much?

I did an astro travel chart on myself. It says my dream place California would be really a positive place for me. I just want to try living somewhere good. where I do live the chart says I'd lose touch with reality and I did. I went crazy from the hell I've lived. I want the later part of my life nicer.

problem job, housing, support system.

It seems like in my life, I've had desires to move. There were times I'd be in a new place and it would be alright. But after a while it would feel like it's time to go. Right now for me, I'm desiring to leave where I am for somewhere else.

I've lived in Southern California for the past 35 years. I was originally from the northeast. I want to leave because it feels like "Dodge" to me. The problem is that I would at least want to know someone in the area where I want to move to. The only place I know anyone is back where I came from in the northeast. I never want to move back there because of many bad experiences I had living there.

Last month, I cancelled a trip to a place where I thought that I would want to reside to. I had that place in mind, but I had an anxiety attack before going, so that was why I cancelled (I posted that on the Anxiety forum here). I felt like a dope for cancelling.

I wish I would not have to think about or desiring to move. I want to settle in one place and be happy. I wonder if I'll ever find it?

On one hand relocation can be a positive change if you are moving to places with better prospects, better climate for one’s health, better social aspects, more tolerant, better health care and list goes on. It certainly can make a big difference and make a huge positive change for you

On the other hand wherever you go there you are. If you think your life will be better but you have no tangible proof or evidence of that then perhaps it will be all the same.

Well I'm in an acting modeling class and obviously there are more opportunities in California. I have some relatives that live there but they don't really talk to me though I did ask how she went about relocating.

Thousands of people move to California in hopes to be models and actors. Most never become actors or models. Only few do. California has a very high cost of living and you need to be prepared to manage your life there. You can try to act and model locally first if that’s what you intend on doing in California.

I very much agree with this. I would highly not recommend moving to CA. Very high cost of living, constantly clogged traffic, bad air quality, rude & fake people, and homeless encampments. Many years ago when I was here, I loved it. And now it's changed so much and I can no longer tolerate it. There's nothing here anymore to convince me to stay on.

I had a dream or desire to be a model myself (like for magazines) decades ago. I came across a lot of advertising for it and they all turned out to be scams. Years ago I had given up on that dream entirely. In looking for models, they are looking for the very young and beautiful.

Sorry if I had broken your bubble in your dreams. But you never know. Maybe you might get a lucky break.

I think if one wanted to or could be a model or an actor, they already would be all that. But of course it could happen. Just not likely

I decided to wait a year or two before making a big move. I'm going to wait til I'm approved for a voucher than after a year it can transfer anywhere. Than I will have affordable housing where ever I go.
