I've been thinking about this for a couple of days- namely, am I going to sit their on monday and watch the funeral of the queen
on one hand, I'm a british citizen, I should pay my respects. on the other, I spent the entire weekend paying my respects to the queen and to be honest, I'm not sure that I have anymore reason to pay my respects- since I feel I've payed my respects all ready I just don't want to be the bad person for being the only british person not to watch the funeral hmm |

I personally probably won’t watch, I’ve limited my news exposure, self care is very important, and over exposure to this sort of news can bring a person down. It definitely doesn’t make you a bad person or disrespectful. |

I agree that you are under no obligation to watch the funeral. Funerals are more for the living survivors than for the dead person anyway. Some people feel it helps bring them closure. But if it would do you more harm than good, do what's best for you.

I agree. Your mental health is more important, & I think Queen Elizabeth would feel that way, too.

I saw yesterday queens kids marching to stand vigil to
the queen and saw Prince Andrew marching. It made me sick. I am not watching any more of this. Last edited by CANDC; Sep 17, 2022 at 10:26 PM. Reason: make within Community Guidelines |
