I don't want to visit my bf this weekend. I need to focus on school. Also I feel like all I ever do is school and then see my bf on weekends (he lives about 1.5 mi away). I love him. But I need more (I need to feed my soul). Also I just terminated therapy with my therapist. I'd been seeing her for about 2.5 months and I have no energy to say here why I terminated. I'm done with therapy for now but it was a big step for me. I'm feeling scared and lost a bit.

I'm sure your boyfriend will understand, hell be personally disappointed, but he should understand.

As OafFish said, I'm sure your boyfriend will understand if you explain to him that you need a little more alone time to process your thoughts and feelings, etc. Talk it over with him thoroughly so you can figure out together what works for the both of you.
Since you're not longer seeing a therapist, maybe journaling would help you? I've been trying to get back to it...it helps me a lot, when I have the time/energy/discipline to sit down and do it. |

I hope your boyfriend is understanding.
I have always found peer support groups more helpful than therapy. |

Yes, my bf understood and he was awesome about it.
Journaling to process is a good idea. |

I was in a DBT group for 2 years. The women in that group still get together. It definitely bonded us. We all loved the T who ran the group & most of us had/ (some still have) her as our private T also. I definitely appreciated the group because it provided for different points of view & great discussions
