I feel like I get punished for having a good work ethic. Or rather, that other people at my workplace get rewarded for having a bad work ethic. And it is pissing me the **** off. End of story. I doubt anyone will ****ing respond to this because people don’t seem to respond much to anything I ****ing say on here. But I have to vent somewhere. **** it.

I feel your pain. Years ago I was a caseworker and basically worked hard and got my stuff done. My reward? I got to help others that were goofing off and falling behind. I hated that job and got out of it.

Can you look elsewhere?

I read something maybe it was online I’m not sure, “The thing about my job is if you’re really good at it you get to do other peoples as well”. which is something I’ve seen around me and experienced myself.

You sound like you’re ready for change perhaps?

When DH served in the military they had a saying - "F*** up, move up.". Meaning they promoted people who didn't do their job well to get rid of them, while those who were good at their job stayed behind as workhorses and didn't get promoted as often.

There's an ad on TV right now where the boss comes in and all but one worker hides, then she assured him she's "on it.". That commercial bugs me. It's way too true.

I'm sorry you are dealing with this sort of thing. It really isn't right or fair . But way too common.
