I’m in a lot of pain today… I tripped and cracked my ankle this morning. Had to call off work… if anyone there actually cares. I feel so dead inside when it comes to my job. I need to get out. I want to take courses this august, but that may mean having to go part-time, and my boss is not thrilled about that prospect, because August is approaching flu season when we’ll need all hands on deck. And I get that. What I don’t get, however, is why one of the other techs is now working the shift she wanted when the agreement was originally that this wouldn’t happen until the new tech is fully trained and goes full-time with us. Which hasn’t happened yet. And this tech has a bad history of attendance too. I don’t know. It’s probably very petty of me, but it’s the principle of the matter. I need to get out of pharmacy. Period.

They are so unfair to you. It is so sad.

I am so very sorry about your ankle. Have you seen a doctor?

Your work pressures are triggering your low mood. I totally get that. When work is no longer fulfilling ( if it ever was…right?), then it colors all of your time a shade of gray. I really feel for you. And ouch, sorry about your ankle. You obviously had enough on your mind without that added pain and aggravation.

Thanks… I haven’t seen a doctor, because I doubt they’ll tell me to do anything other than what I’m already doing to treat it— i.e., ice it, elevate it, wrap an ACE bandage on it, and keep off it. And NSAIDs. If it still hurts this much tomorrow i may call them. But regarding the other stuff, I feel like a broken record. I’m going to spend less time *****ing and more time doing lol.
