That's why I hate myself. I'm not overly emotional in the sense that I'm crying all the time. Or taking offense about something and become hysterical. I can't cry anymore because of the meds. My emotions are blunted. But I know I'm so angry at myself for being such a nothing. I can't make decision. I can't stop people pleasing. I'm a pushover . To try and combat this I have a quick temper. My prefrontal cortex ( the executive decision making part of my brain ) is underdeveloped. Everything is out of whack. I don't know how I've managed to live this long.
So my question is as overly emotional as I am , most of the world is 10x worse ! And I hate them because you can't talk to an overly emotional person !

Who in your life is overly emotional? Did something specific happen that set you off?

Maybe you're highly sensitive?

I just posted this. Maybe it would help?

sounds like you need to give yourself some love and a break. yes, i suppose it's frustrating and not a trait that we necessarily want, but just think how valuable it is that you actually have feelings when some people don't even seem to give a ****! there's a song lyric that always spoke to me, "i'm sensitive and I'd like to stay that way". it's like empathy. that's a good quality to have...even if it's a heavy burden. sounds kinda superheroic to me though!

Yes it's a very tricky painful world to navigate some/much of the time.🙏Hang in there bro. Seek out the peaceful things!

So, really it comes down to seeing in others what you see within yourself that you do not like.

Every individual is different. Some people are practical, some are emotional and some people are more sensitive (over emotional). There is nothing wrong in being a an emotional person as we all are human beings and we have been called humans because we carry emotions, but there should always a fine balance of everything. You need to focus your energy on other things like power yoga, meditation, music, dance or whatever makes you happy. Keep you expectations limited and start loving yourself.

Start applying all these things which I have told you above, but one at a time and you will surely see positive results in yourself. These are tried and tested formula which I have apllied on myself as I used to be just like you 3 years back.

Sgtay happy & healthy my friend.

I often wish I was less emotional and I know unemotional people who wish they felt more. But i'm glad that i feel human and can feel empathy so i don't think it's so bad to be emotional.
