My mother hugs and kisses me often, and I feel like she is emotionally not connected to me, so it feels unsatisfying and I end up craving more hugs but am never satisfied.

Do you crave hugs from her, from someone else, or just in general?

Just in general
I hugged a friend I have, she’s a little girl, around 7 years old. She loves to run to me and loves it when I carry her. I sat and kept my head on my friend’s shoulder and she also hugged me. I was consoling another sad friend of mine.
My mom was overwhelmed, she came and said she wants a hug. In this way I have shown and felt very loved in the past few days. Unfortunately, I am very easily moved to anger if I’m not replied to soon. For example, my friend was busy and I got upset, feeling like I’m not important anymore. But when I spoke later and asked to meet, I felt good. I have been oscillating between feeling happy and angry.

Can you engage in deep breathing or at least monitor your natural breathing when you feel like anger is starting to swell up in you because you did not obtain an immediate response?

Yeah, that much I can do. The main issue is accepting myself. Why else would I get angry. I have expectations and whenever I feel sad, or wonder if he’ll ever text, I remember that he would if he could.
