Honestly how I think about it is when I am sexually attracted to a guy it's intense and I don't really know how to act. I find that I analyse the situation excessively and that I don't approach a guy I like for fear that the will question my intentions. Id rather stay away in this sense I feel like I've created an intense feeling of push and pull where I want to approach the person but I over analyse the situation. In saying all of that I know I am not ready to date and I don't think men view me as ready to date. I however still mention it because the feelings towards this person I've felt for a long time now.

It's not really you, it's your hormones; it's Mother Nature. It's like feeling hungry for food - it's an instinct that keeps the human population alive and thriving. I mean, if no one ever got hungry, who would eat? If no one ever felt attraction, where would babies come from? So - just like we control our urge to eat by eating just breakfast lunch and dinner, we can control other feelings nature throws at us - when to sleep, when to love. We are not just animals in heat, although sometimes it definitely feels like it. We have big brains to control our instincts and make decisions in our best interests.
