I've decided to make an appt for the naturopath as there is extreme anxiety due to periods and I feel like the acne I have is something I've never had before. I've been so frustrated with the thyroid testing as they do blood tests but it keeps showing up as fine. Sometimes I think that thyroid testing isn't as accurate for women as men so I'm looking for a second opinion..I've noticed tho ever since I've been taking natural remedies for my cycles that things have been improving but my intuition is telling me that there is something wrong with my hormones. I feel so frustrated I feel like they have been treating the symptoms and not the root cause of the anxiety depression and I just feel like the way modern medicine is made is to give bandaid solutions. If I'm being honest I'm just frustrated with the issues I've been having the way professionals have approached it. My sister mentioned that I need a psychiatrist but what if the cause of my anxiety and lack of attention comes from a hormonal imbalance and isn't something that those drugs that stupify you can treat. I'm just so sick of not being heard I probably talked the naturopaths ear off today but I feel like the symptoms in my body with the eczema is trying to single to me, listen to me I'm suffering this treatment your having isn't treating the real cause please listen to me Vanessa, I feel like that's what my body is trying to tell me but I've been brainwashed to think that drugging myself up with antidepressants fixes the real cause. I just wish that doctors didn't think of us as pill ingester and saw us as real humans I don't think it's my GP that thinks like that but my psychiatrist. Anyway I would be a nut to continue to approach the situation the same way as I always have when it hasn't solved anything and I still have the issues.

I understand, I was really frustrated by mainstream medicine and wasn't getting any solutions for a medical issue I had at one point in my life. I decided to go to a doctor who had an MD but also had a degrees in holistic medicine and acupuncture. It was a the best decision I could have made. He did some tests that the other doctors dismissed and prepared a treatment plan that combined some mainstream and holistic treatments. It really helped.

Good luck, hopefully the naturopath will be able to help you.

Thank you 🙏 I hope I finally get some answers and some peace so I can make the changes I wanted to make for a long time but didn't have the knowledge too.

I will be very interested to hear about your experience and what the naturopath says. There are a lot of holes and gaps in conventional western medicine, and many people fall between the cracks. Also, my understanding is that most doctors only prescribe for bloodwork that measures TSH, aka Thyroid Stimulating Hormone. That’s only a part of the puzzle. Please let us know how your appointment goes.
