tomorrow is the anniversary of my mom's death :bawling . OK the backstory me and my mom were really close like really really close I moved her from Mississippi I moved here from Texas to Oklahoma with me she was with me all the time she was my best friend we talked on the phone first thing in the morning some several times a day and then on September 1st of 2017 I got to call from my sister and she said that my mom was gone I couldn't believe it because I had talked to my mom that morning and she was just tired she went and took a nap I never woke up I am barely being able to deal with this it's just now st3arting to get easier I am beyond myself with grief I miss her so much! so I'm not sure how to handle it me and my husband go out to eat on this date and her birthday. she loved Mexican food and Chinese food so we go out then and I get a strawberry daiquiri for her. So sorry about the punctuation, I'm using talk to text and it does not punctuate correctly.

Your mom sounds like she was a wonderful woman, and I am sorry to hear about her passing.
My suggestion (if at all possible) is that on her anniversaries, Try to do things you never got the chance to do when she was alive. It doesn't sound weird. Think of it as honouring her and doing the stuff she always wanted to do. Everyone has that one thing.. I am sure she did too. |

I love what @emily1890 said.
Your mom is with you. If it’s a purely atheistic stand point, we’re all made from stardust and will return to dust, together. There’s part of her in you, in your genes and in who you are, in your beliefs, memories, lens on the world or whatever. Maybe Connect with those parts to honor her. If you believe in a spirit, then maybe take some time in the quiet so you can feel her spirit with you. |

emily1890,RDMercer Thank you both and I do try to honor her everyday. We recently went so you went through. Utah and Montana and all those places that I know she was wanted to go and I should have taken her Ashes so that I could spread some in those places, but I forgot our son-in-law. Just passed away, so we had to go to Seattle.

emily1890 it seems like you and I have a lot in common. Are you from the US? How old are you or what age group I'm in my mid-40s and from Texas but now I live in Colorado, long story.
