walk the tightrope everyday
smile for everyone
be happy its all in your head
get out of your head
where else am i supposed to be
to be me in all my glory
superwoman im told
ive got it all together
how do i do it
by smiling for everyone
three hours down thirty six hours up
can i keep this up
heart says no but brain is on fire
marathon time 21 down 147 up
twinkle toes tightrope smiling for everyone
blue ovals sporadically during the day
peach circles in the evening begging me to stay
grounded and happy and smiling for everyone
while the monster is clawing and spiraling and cycling down
laughing as its being tamed from its come down
youve beaten me for now enjoy your reprieve
in your dungeon of guilt darkness loneliness and deceit
countdown continues for the new cycle
168 plummeted and still need more for sleep
peach is no longer my color
blue is sometimes my shade
either way we look at it
a part of me has faded away
