I had no idea this even existed until today - I've always known I've had issues with being "clingy" or becoming very attached to certain people - but I didn't realize it was an actual disorder. This almost makes me feel better about myself. I feel relieved to know I'm not just screwed up...and that there's other people who have the same issues.
Thanks for this!

Hmm...sounds kinda like me :/ I wonder if I may have this disorder. I don't have many friends (because of my avoidant personality) so yeah I get real clingy to the ones I do have.

My biggest fear is that my clingy-ness is going to drive the important people away...but at the same time I'm scared that if I let go and stop clinging, they're going to go anyway. It really makes no sense but somehow I rationalize it in my head.

i didnt know about it until recently either. it helped me to know that im not crazy and that there was other people who have the same problem. i also worry that my clingyness is going to make everyone go. i have a hard time trying to stay calm because of it. i hate it.
