I've been contemplating whether or not I have Dependent Personality Disorder or simply a Dependent Personality, but I've found that when I am not in a romantic relationship, I feel very depressed and lost and then when I am in a relationship I am very happy, but am also anxious that I may be left. I know I can take care of myself as far as progressing with life and the only road blocks there are due to my Social Anxiety Disorder. Also I usually don't feel the need for others advice unless it is a very big decision or something I just need comforted with. But I have this recurring theme of feeling miserable and alone when I am not in a relationship, no matter how many supportive people are in my life.

Hello, AbsurdBlackBear. That being the case, there must be a reason you are not in a long term relationship?
Is professional help an option? |

Haha, guess I'm of no interest to anyone I'm interested in? xD
Yeah I'm currently going to therapy.
