How do you cope with this disorder? I'm so dependent on my bestfriend it's scary. I have no clue how to be autonomic or independent and it's interfering with my life.

I think T has subtly been helping me with this by helping me establish healthy boundaries. Do you see a therapist and is it something you can share with them? That's the only way I survive it; I'm still working on it but it's hard and something that I don't think will ever completely go away. It's just in my (our?) nature.

How does your boyfriend feel about this? I have seen some vids on youtube about DPD and it always shows people interacting who don't want a dependent person around. But if someone doesnt want to deal with finances (say) and their partner is an accountant, and perhaps that would really minimise the problems.
