I just read a wonderful post and it makes me think there is so much for me to find out about myself and work on, but the depression is telling me that I just cannot do those things, I have trouble getting up in the morning, taking care of my basic needs, I just exist these days. When will it end?

Have you contacted EAP? It is maybe worthwhile to try going that route. They would know more about what you can do with the job and if needed disability.

(((IDK))) Take hope from it. A month ago I was feeling very much like you, worse even. Had suicidal thinking. Went back to my pdoc and T and am feeling better now. Not great but in a much better place than I was.

If you keep seeking help for yourself, keep reaching out to people who care and never mind those who aren't supportive, you will find the help you need. Just don't give up.

and if that makes you feel better feel free.
But keep it to yourself please, don't tell me.
And let's all respect each other's feelings.
With kindness, support and "sweet dreamings."

Just surviving - not so much fun. There can and will be more if you keep reaching for it.
