My girlfriend just left to resign her job. She is leaving in two weeks to go to Texas for her summer time with her kids. She gets them for 6 weeks this summer so she will pick them up in Texas and go to her mother's house in Kansas. Her ex will not allow her to take them any farther away.
I am very happy that she gets to have the kids for a while but it also leaves me all alone for the rest of the summer. I am really bummed and down today. Sorry but I just have to vent about this. I am trying to look for the good things about this but all I see is an empty summer.
Bah Humbug. Guess I will turn into the old grouch again.

I guess you will be able to stay in contact with your girlfriend during the 6 weeks. Maybe you could break up that time and go and visit her?

Visiting or going with her is not an option unfortunately. My son is an Aspergers, and does not travel well. I can't leave him alone and I have no one to help.
There are other reasons that I can not go, I have never been able to meet her kids yet. Her ex will not allow it. No offense to anyone on here but I hate Texas custody laws!
Thanks for the kind words. I will get thru this, always do. But it does hurt. A lot.
