been so deep in the depths of depression but you didn't know why? That's where i am right now and for all my efforts- exercise, jorunaling, getting out, focusing on other things- i am just getting worse. i didn't even want to post this because there isn't much i can say as to what the problem is. i only know that i am starting to worry about myself. thanks for the place to vent.

Ditto what FuzzyBear says.

Are you seeing a T? Have you been to a pdoc for meds?

I think there is almost always a cause, or bunch of little causes that have added up to the famous "straw that broke the camel's back."

You have done nothing wrong in posting how you're feeling here. You don't have to explain why you're depressed. We know that depression doesn't always need a specific reason to rear its ugly head and knock us down.

Yes, I have been there many times. Depression..in the pit of darkness with out a clear reason. Yes. Sometimes, its ok to be feeling low. People with depression think that this is a set back of some sort. I know that I do. But even the mentally well (if there is such a thing) have down days too. It's ok. Lean on us, were here for you. I think a T appointment would be a good thing. ((((((HUGS))))) if wanted.

Karen, it's bad enough going through a depressive episode when you know what the reason is, but it is harder, or at least I think it is, when you don't. I've had this happen to me too. It's frustrating. It seems you have been working hard, doing the right things to find some relief. I'm sorry that none of it has brought you much relief. I think going to your t is a good idea. Good luck sweetie. I hope you find some relief from your depression soon.
