My mind is like a big jigsaw puzzle and none of the peaces fit. I have so many thing to do. I can think about one thing and plan to start it but before I get to it I am thinking of something else. My concentration and focus are so screwed up that sometimes it is just easier to go back to bed.
Thanks for this!

If the condition is really upsetting you, mention it to your pdoc. He might consider adding a med used for ADD.

I was really having problems. I couldn't make it through a day. I would start things then forget I needed to finish. Start a load of clothes in the washer then forget they were there.

Concentration and focus went right up the river. My pdoc put me on Concerta but there are others.

What a God send it is. I'm still a frog of little brain but when I write down the "to do" list I don't forget where I put it. (Well most of the time.)

Hope you find an answer.

When that happens to me I leave notes to myself around the house that say "did you do the dishes?". I might actually end up doing the dishes that day.

It's so maddening to have our minds taken over by the fog of depression.

I still have that problem , but it is not as bad since I've
been taking Ativan . Constant worry , fear , confusion,
thoughts of death , hypocondria , forgetfullness.
I read a quote tonight that said , you don't have to control
your thoughts , just don't let them control you.
Hugs Hugs Hugs for a dear friend

Mind like a jigsaw puzzle whose pieces don't fit...

A keen, apt image for me, too. Well, in your case, the "help others" piece is big and whole.

Sending hugs your way

Try writing a to do list and then a diary at night to see what you got done. If you can, get a pin board or wipe board so you can stick a list up or write it on the wipe board and cross/wipe it off as you go along. I don't know if this'll help, but I find it helpful.

Hope you find something useful..

That happens to me too. Alot here latley. I goten so bad I can't even talk to people because I don't pay attention to what they are saying and I totally blank out. Or I'll be the one talking and I'll ramble and forget what I was saying so I just quit talking. I know it's aggrvating. It scares me. I hope you get better.

Post it notes--what I call my yellow brains--help A LOT.

I can stick them in places that i can't miss.

I also have piles of stuff to do, sitting out in the open. If I put anything away that I need to do, it doesn't get done.

I will ask about Ativan, I don't remember if I have tried that or not. I have been on so many meds I can't remember them all. Good quote. Thank You Hugs for your day.

I have done this. But the list gets so huge it is hard to look at. I had it hanging in my living room for all to see. Brush teeth, feed rabbits, do dishes, take shower, pay light bill, paint window trim, fix this or that, clean car and so on. When people saw it they thought I was crazy. No not crazy just ill. I am going to hang up my board again and do notes also. There has to be away for me to focus on something. Thank you Hugs for your day.
