|
Does anyone on this board have depression, or any other mental illness, due to Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)?
I am trying to help my 35 yr old son, who will not listen, and I have tons of questions about TBI. If it means I have to return to living in Florida (where my family is and where I raised my children) I WILL do this!!

Sorry ((((bigcasper)))) I don't know. Have you tried asking the internet, maybe your local doctor/ therapist, or your sons doctor? I am guessing your son is the person who has had the Traumatic Brain Injury. Hugs for your day.

hi bigcasper,
i dont know anything myself about TBI, but there is another thread on PC where someone was discussing how to separate depression or TBI. it's here: http://forums.psychcentral.com/showthread.php?t=109936 i think there were a few links posted in that article that you might find useful. i reckon you'll do well with whatever decision you make - to move back to florida or not - you're sounding really motivated to help! and we will support you all the way, of course .

((bigcasper)) ...yes I do, personally. I think it's great what you are willing to do for your son. He is lucky to have you as a father.

I used to be a member there, so I know there are lots of great folks and a dedicated TBI forum. A member called Vinny (if he is still there) is most informative, friendly and helpful.

Yes, I have posted a message on the PsychCentral TBI and PCS board.
I just thought it was worth the time to ask if anyone here had either of these conditions.
