Long story short--got yanked off a working med cocktail one year ago, for medical reasons.

Been a hellish year.

Got OK from hematologist to take old med cocktail

T, family, friend, and me ALL want to be on old coctail.

The little guy who hangs out in my head says NO--long story

So anyway, I have pdoc appt. today.
Got everything written down. And T said,--have her call me if needed

I JUST WANTED TO THANK AND ASK FOR A GOOD LUCK FROM MY PC FRIENDS?

Pdoc appt. was ok. She started out by saying no to 2 of my old cocktail meds because of my blood disease. I told her my hematologist already OKed them and gave her his phone number. So, until they talk to each other I am in the same boat as I was before the appointment.
But hopefully I’ll get a phone call today and can start lamictal (ms) immediately. And since she wants to do one med at a time, I’ll probably start clozaril (anti-psych) next month. Probably, hopefully. Then I’ll start an AD and an OCD med, not sure in what order.
But she suprized me by asking if she (she is a resident at the clinic I go to) could use me as her case study to be presented to her teachers and fellow residents. She said my case was “complex” and she wasn’t convinced of my current diagnoses. This would mean spending an hour with her on my history and half a day of neuro-psyhe testing; as well as an interview by her supervisor in front of a bunch of psychiatrists and residents. I said Hell yes! I am not sure about my diagnoses as well and all this is FREE!
So Pdoc appointment was interesting if not immediately rewarding.

I'm glad your appointment went well and I hope that you can get all your meds sorted out soon.

You will definitely make an interesting case study, and I know you will appreciate all the extra input into your condition that you will receive.

A case study! This is a positive development - you're going to get extra attention from more than just one pdoc. Multiple insights and perspectives increase the possibilities, and you get to help others by just being yourself (and opening your case to the professional community)! Congratulations! I hope this won't be scary for you.

My pdoc just called and had spoken to my hematologist who said it was ok to take the lamictal.
So I've started on that. But it will probably be over a month before it starts working.
