Not many words tonight. Just not feeling good. Pain. And heaviness. Exhaustion. Everything's so slowed down. I hate being like this. I hate it when it comes.

Pain and heaviness? Is this the same kind as you've experienced before or is this different? Any possibility this could be a physical ailment or both together?

Concerned for all forms of your health...

I'm sorry to hear that you're having a rough day. Maybe turn on some upbeat music to lift your spirits a little bit. If that doesn't sound good maybe you can soak in a bubble bath instead. Heck, if there isn't a reason not to, do both!

I'm sorry this has returned to find you.

It's truly terrifying to be in the middle of it.

I know how you feel...just try to stay strong. Try to write, take a nap, take a bath, do something good for yourself until the fog lifts again.

I'm sorry you are feeling awful. It sucks when our body and mind both are feeling out of whack. I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks for this!

Just wondering how your morning's going (though you might not be up yet). Good morning, hugs to you to start off your day

Thanks for all your hugs, they're always so nice to have when I'm feeling so horrid.

I'm doing a bit better today, turquoisesea, thanks for asking! I have done absolutely nothing since yesterday afternoon when I crashed and basically slept the rest of my day away, on and off. I'm slowly starting to wake up again, I think. I was talking to my counsellor the other day and I mentioned to her that it's kind of sick, but I actually like this part of my depression, the day between feeling completely depressed and completely well. It's when I'm at my most contemplative and creative. All of the thought and emotion that the depression brings with it fuels a lot of my writing, but when I'm actually feeling low I can't bring myself to write anything down. On the in-between day, though, I'm still aware of that feeling without being overwhelmed by it, and I have just enough energy to escape it. I can write when I'm feeling well, too, but I get most of my ideas from this in-between period. So today I'm not 100%, but I'm feeling inspired, so I'm going to look at that as a good thing.

(((((justfloating))))) You know what, I actually understand where you're coming from, in terms of the in-between times fueling your creativity. Personally I've got ups and downs too, and though I'm a writer myself I haven't had much motivation or inspiration lately.

I'm glad to hear you're doing better today! I think it's awesome to look at your 'not 100%' inspiration as a good thing; take what you've got and work with it. That's really the best any of us can do. Hope things continue to climb up hill for you!

I'm so sorry to have missed this post Justfloating. I'm happy to hear you're feeling inspired today though and hope you can carry this feeling over when you reach happier days.

Again, my apologies for missing the thread. Things get tough here sometimes too.

I know so well the heaviness and imobility of depression. Mine is just beginning to lift today, and I know that yours will, too. Trying to walk and do things can be the hardest part, but if you will do only a little, it will help. That's how it works for me. I wish blessings and healing on you. billieJ

I'm glad to hear both that you are feeling somewhat better and that you have a way to bring something positive out of your depression. It sucks to have this illness, but it does add an urgency to life that normal experience doesn't. Hang in there. I will be thinking of you, Just floating. Bye now.
Thanks for this!
