ok, so i've been on all kinds of different meds, and usually i get no side effects. but i was on cymbalta and it made me gain thirty pounds - no joke. i kept my old pants/shorts cuz i thought one day i'd be back into them. two years have past.
but this summer, things finally started to change. a new combo of meds helped me lose about twenty pounds. i was wearing a size thirty-six pants, but now i fit into my size thirty-three pants this week. it was the greatest high i have had in a LONG time.
but no one around me can support or be happy for me. their usual responses are: "you can have my extra weight; i'll share some with you; wish i could do that".
just wish for once that i had someone who could understand just how important this is for me...

Congrats Sometimes, the accomplishments that seem benign to others are to ourselves a great feat. Losing weight is no easy request for anyone, and finally hitting the goal you set for yourself after two years has to be a great feeling. Good job

Dear jrae ~ I know how important the weight loss is to you, and I'll bet more people than you think know as well. Perhaps they are too envious to say so - that will happen. Every lb. lost is a triumph to me. I am so glad that you found a med combination that allowed you to lose the weight, and I can imagine how "high" you must have felt after that much of a weight loss. Congratulations! billieJ
Thanks for this!

and usually people say that cause they are jealous and feel ****** about themselves so they are fishing for compliments. "what?no, u don't need to loose anything!"

Fantastic! let me know what they gave you! really, some folks just get the idea that some people aren't allowed to succeed. Go ahead. Make them jealous.
Thanks for this!
