i believe the first one that i did in bold is probably prozac. i'm too lazy to walk into the kitchen and look. i worked 13 hrs today and i'm not moving. i take prozac now. it works fine on me.

the second one, efexor, nearly killed me.....and getting off of it was worse than how i felt taking it. i lost 38 lbs and my head felt like rocks were rubbing against each other inside.

i think the third one is probably similiar to elavil. i take it now for anxiety and it helps me sleep.

I've been on zoloft and flouxetin (we call it Prozac here). It didn't really help my mood, but at least I didn't get any icky side effects.

The first group sound like SSRI's which is the group Zoloft is in. They are pretty similar, although they may help more or less or have different side effects in different people. That's because everyone has an individual response. The second group has effexor which works on serotonin and norepinephrine. Remeron I took and gained a lot of weight. The third group sound like tricyclic antidepressants which are an older type. They cause more drowsiness and dry mouth side effects. Because of this they are usually used in smaller doses to help with sleep or pain, or to help other meds. Hope this helps. Most of the names are different than US, but are similar. HUGS!

I don't want to take any meds that make me gain weight, i'm fat enough already... and meds that would make me woozy are out of the question too, cuz i have to drive a lot... nothing that causes addiction, been there done that.. i don't want headaches or nausea... er.. actually, a med with NO side effects what so ever would be the best Anti-depressants in finland.. (surprisingly enough)
