If my doctor approves my Rx request, I'll be starting back on Celexa today. I really need it. I took the depression quiz on Monday night and I scored a 62. 54 is the low end of severe depression. The quiz here is different than the ones the doctors hand out. I never realized depression makes you restless with poor concentration and unable to make decisions. I was starting to think I had ADD and that's why I was feeling depressed - because I can't accomplish anything in a timely manner any more. starting back on meds today And I'm putting on weight because I eat constantly. Nothing else makes me feel good, so I grab things that taste good. And we all know most of the "good" tasting stuff is nothing but fat and sugar.

Cross your fingers (or whatever luck-bringing ritual you use) for me that he'll OK it before my scheduled physical and that I can get the generic version (no insurance, Celexa is expensive, generic is half the price).

That's good news, WI. Praying so much for your relief -- and for all of us who suffer with this awful disease. It's a killer, even though so many ignorant people still believe that it's just sadness and we can "snap out of it."

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. The pharmacy opens in 10 minutes, so I'm going to call and find out what time the doctor usually calls in Rx's so I know when I can pick it up.

W2F, I lived with one of "those people."

Good news. He called in the Rx and it's only $23.08 for a 30 day supply of citalopram. I was expecting it to be at least $40.

Now I'm just hoping the generic works as well.

Great news WI! I'm so glad to hear you are getting the help you need and it works pretty quickly so I'm sure you'll be feeling better soon!

And yes, I know what you guys are saying about people who think you need to just cheer up and get over it. I know things in my head, but it's a different story trying to get the rest of me to cooperate!

I'm so glad to hear about your RX. Good luck.
