I have seen in my recent post "Why?" that people have a lot of positive quotes. I was hoping we could start a thread where people can put positive/ inspirational quotes so we can have them all in the same place. Or links to where positive quotes are on-line. I can't add any right now. But I hope that others can. That way when we are feeling down we can come and look at them.

My favorite is the one I use as my signature. It's something a therapist told me, and I've found it to be so true.

Recovery is the best revenge.

It works. They can't stand to see their victims happy and well-adjusted. It drives them bananas.

Maybe the past is like an anchor holding us back. Maybe, you have to let go of who you were to become who you will be." sex and the city

You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You're on your own, and you know what you know.
And you are the one who'll decide where you'll go.
Oh the places you'll go.
Dr Seuss

Why should I grieve because of a thorn?
Once it had made laughter known to me.
Whatever you lost through the stroke of destiny,
know it was to save you from adversity.
One small affliction keeps off greater afflictions;
one small loss prevents greater losses.

Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful.
