Im being called selfish. I was told a month ago that my mom was saving for a ticket to fly and see me. MY MOTHER mind you. shes decided to save up for a new bedroom. at a new home. So hey see you in 3 or 5 years. When I got mad about it, I was told I was being selfish and rude.

I thought I was important to her. I dont get why she doesnt understand me. Just another person I have to dump again.

I understand how that must really hurt to hear that and I don't think that's true. Does she know you miss her and that's where you're coming from - that it's not you don't want her to have a nice bedroom and house?

thats the funny part. shes not buying a house. shes moving from my sisters to my nieces and building a additional room for HERSELF!

I thought she was excited to be saving for a ticket to see me. no shes more excited to be building a bedroom. and I dont even think she heard me.

Just another person i plan to x out of my life.

Remember in the 90's all the layers of gold jewerly we would wear? My ex used to buy me a lot because he was sorry for being a bad boy. Well, my mother was so jealous that I had all this jewerly. She had called and said she wanted her and my Dad to come visit but we would have to pay for her gas. Ok, it was like a 100.00 dollars. Well, she wanted to see go to the place that my husband was buying all my gold jewerly at, so I took her there. What do you know, she pulls out a 100.00 dollar bill "My birthday money from Grandma" she said, and spent every penny of it right in front of me. I was at a loss for words. I had 4 kids and I wasn't working and I can't tell you how many times I used so called "Birthday Money" for food or bills in the past. She was 50 years old! I call that selfish and rude.

It is sad isn't it. I dumped my mother, not for this issue but for some far, far worse. Don't depend on her for your happiness.
