I am feeling very lonely today. I am stuck in 30 inches of snow here and could not get anywhere. On top of everything, my parents are alone in this massive snowstorm. They live down a long driveway and in a flat roofed home. Rather I am worried about them. At their age anything could happen and if something happens they would be stuck. So here I sit alone and worried. How I will make it through I am not sure now.

Have you called your parents to find out how they are doing?
Thanks for this!

I am sorry you are feeling lonely. Big snow storms often have that effect on people, one feels isolated from the rest of the world.
I also understand how it feels to worry about closed ones you feel cut off from, I hope they are fine.
Take very good care of yourself and let us know how it turns out.
Thanks for this!

I call my parents at least once a day and now twice a day. What is frustrating is that my parents live only 25 miles from me but between the snow and my own physical problems, I have no way of clearing off my car to go see them. Thankfully I will have someone clean it off this next week. I just feel so stuck and helpless to do anything for them now. The only thing I could do would be to contact the emergency services there.

I am sure they are in a warm house and have plenty of food in. Maybe there is a neighbour that will look in on them?
Thanks for this!

How I would love to see the snow. I used to see it when I lived in Massachusetts but now in Florida it won't happen. Sorry that you feel so sad. Things will turn around. You'll see. Everything happens in cycles. Peace - Dennis

Lea, the snow and being confined in the house can be very hard and make you feel lonely. I'm sure your parents are equally worried about you too. perhaps you can pass the day away by posting often and checking out other fun sites on the net.
I'm sure the roads will be passable tomorrow. hang in there.
