For a while I have believed that I am depressed. I've taken a lot of online tests, all of which tell me I am clinically depressed and that I should consider seeking help. For some reason I'm just really skeptical about it. I'm a teenager so I have to tell my parents in order to get help, and I don't want to actually have no problem and then I would have just wasted my parents' time and worry for nothing.

you know, not really accurate. they are good things to think about, but don't take them too seriously, you know?
only people who can diagnosed you are professionals. but if you are feeling depressed, a test can point that out. you should absolutely tell your parents. its a real issue and you dont have to live in pain, you know? you don't have to. so just think about it tonight. think about if you've been down, if your eating or socializing has changed... then tell your parents ![]()

I think your parents would probably rather have you tell them that you MAY have a problem. Then they could work with you to find out about it and treat it if necessary. I don't know your parents, but I bet they would be more OK with it than you think. Give them a chance to help you. It's hard to be honest, but you'll feel better if they know how you feel.
