Ever since I was in my mid teens, I've had this recurring feeling. It happenes every so often, more frequently lately. It's a feeling of being lost or confused like "what do I do now?" or "what should I do?" even though everything is fine in my day-in, day-out activities.
I have recurrent depression but I'm feeling fine - have been for a while now but admit to feeling a little down for no reason of late. I've also got that damned ADD (attention defecit disorder) for which I am being medicated with Straterra. If you have any psychological or psychiatric expertise or, if you've had this feeling before, I would like to hear from you. Thanks in advance, Mike |

Hi Mike, Welcome to PC.
I cant really say for sure. All I know is when my depression hits hard and my anxiety is out of control I feel like I am "losing" it. My depression usually leads me to feelings of hopelessness. Is this what you mean? If so, I think that it "normal" for depression but should not go untreated. Do you currently see a Therapist? Do you currently or have you ever been on medication for depression? Jen |

Welcome to psychcentral mike. There is always a "reason" we just don't always recognize it at the time. Stress can cause the feeling you described. TC
