Is anyone taking adderall for depression. I'm curious if it works and what side effects there are.
Thanks for this!

I had taken Adderall for little over a year, didn't help. I cannot remember if I had any side effects. I wish you the best!

Adderall is one of the only drug that helps me. Give me more energy and ability to concentrate. If I do not take it with food then I get sick and shaky, but other wise just loss of appetite and insomnia. Hope it helps!
Thanks for this!

Both xanax and prozac zaps energy and makes you lethargic. Have you tried another anti-depressant? Also, there are some anti-depressants that are also anti-anxiety so you don't have to take so much stuff.
But no medication substitutes good therapy. Hope you have a good therapist to help you. Behavioral-cognitive therapy is what helped me the most.
Just a thought. Hope all goes well for you.

I was using Concerta but it's too expensive even with ins. So last Pdoc visit he switched me to Adderall. I don't know if it works yet.

I called the Concerta my get out of bed pill. Without it I just stay in bed and cry all day. It also helps with concentration. Without it I would start 10 different projects, no finish any of them and for get what I was even doing. That is why I am a frog of little brain.

Why don't you as your Pdoc what he is trying to accomplish by having you take the adderall. That would also help you evaluate whether or not it is working like he/she thought it would.

Good Luck.
