I started screaming at my daughter, calling her an ingrate because I showed up to early to pick her up when she specifically told me she wanted to be home by 7 and she wanted to stay longer, so she gave me an attitude. I'm having more and more outbursts and 'm trying not to, plus today I had a bad dizzy spell, thought I was gonna have a stroke, I don't need her giving me more crap. do you think i've done permanent damage?

I know there were times when I *might* have overreacted just a little bit with my kids when they were growing up. And, I think they learned a lot when I apologized. Parents are not perfect. We make mistakes. It's ok.
Hope you get things worked out, and in the mean time, I am sending warm fuzzy thoughts your way.

Thanks! I hope so, too. We've always had such a good relationship. I don't want her to turn away from me.

Have you tried talking to her about it when you have calmed down some? How old is she?

She's 17. We did talk it out and she said it was just a fight and she still loves me. But it's more than just that fight. When your mom isn't happy, the child isn't happy and she's starting to see that I really have mental issues. Oh well, what can u do?
