Let's see - I live alone, am not in therapy, and don't have a relationship of any kind. IT SUCKS!!

The grass is always greener on the other side, isn't it. I want to quit therapy, quit my marriage and live all alone

I am sure you may have thought your response was light hearted...it actually only fuels my fire.
I am not asking to be compared to anyone.
I am just saying HOW I FEEL!
Golly, I should just SHUT OUT THE WORLD!

(((((((((hugs)))))))))

i've felt that way many times. i understand the feeling.

i hope you feel better soon.

be safe,

kd

ps-i don't think wi fighter meant to "fuel your fire" or compare you to anyone or anything. i think she was simply sharing...as were you.

be safe,

kd

Let me be more specific in the fueling of my fire...
Not meaning it was wi-fighter per se. I just meant that is one of my issues when I was growing up. My Mother never truly cared or seemed to want to understand why I was hurt. She basically just turned the attention on something else, mostly her and how my depression effected her!!
So, I am sorry I wasn't clear there. My apologies to wi-fighter for not explaining my firing of the fuel better.
I know she cares, like all of you.

Yes, ((((sj))) and my T understands too. Every once in a while (well, more often than that ) my T allows me to withdraw into my "cave" as he calls it... (I didn't know I had one) and shut out the whole world. I do live alone, except for my dog, so it's probably much easier for me, than for you... but you need to find a way to get your own alone and down time. Do you have a room you can claim as "your own?" Can you find a local hotel to spend a nite at to shut out the world and not THINK about anything??? If not that, can you do some meditation and "get away" somehow?? It can become too much, life, that is... ask your T for help about backing off from time to time (((hugs))))

I so know that place. I have been speaking of retreating to a mountain yurt. I just don't want to deal with this crap anymore. How much are we supposed to take? I should add that my adult son is living here and is demanding. I had to call to make sure it was okay to come home because he was such a turd ball. We each do the best we can. Good luck.

I joined the forum to add a comment. I often, much too often, feel this same way. I've even been fortunate? enough to do it more than once. The only problem was me! I couldn't get away from me no matter how many attachments I dropped.... argh. I don't really have any actual advice, but do try and remember that you are fooling yourself if you think you can run from your problems.... unfortunately we have to bring our "whole head" with us whereever we go.

I want to live alone too. With my dogs. Dreaming, we have to stay in our real lives.
