Hello, Coko! I notice from your profile you are carrying a number of different diagnoses, and dysthymia is the most recent, yes? Do your medications predate the dysthymia diagnosis?
In general, I think you will get the best coping/managing results by considering the whole range of your challenges, including other medical issues (if any) and life situation. Oh, does your doctor know about the mood swings? Is this a primary care doctor or a specialist (psychiatrist)? __________________ My dog mastered the "fetch" command. Hi ya Coko, Luv that name...umm I know you mentioned you had a psychiatrist but do you see a therapist too to work on coping skill and different coping skills to help with depression? I know that medicine dose help, but they always say we have to do stuff to work with the medicine. Like I mean we can get up and be as tired as hell...We take our required meds and force ourselves to walk a slow NOT vigorous one mile indoor walk just to stimulate endorphins and it really dose help (if physically okay to do so)....things like that???? Or even some suggest yoga? However medication is just the start...You know if that makes sense? That should usually help with the moods a bit can still make us tired, however just a few breathes of fresh air and we can actually experience a bit of difference (were all different though just a thought) best to you Kalisha __________________ the past is my future. the pain is my emotion that is my prison. what I feel is as confusing as to why I feel it? |
