I haven't posted on here in I don't know how long. I am currently living in China and all has been going fine for the last 5 months. However, I can feel depression slipping back in and I'm not sure how to go about fixing this.

I have health insurance but it is paid for by the company I'm working for. So if I go to the doctor then my employers will know about it. And on my visa application I had ticked no to mental illlness, because I wasn't sure how China was about these things and I have a relative who works at the school and my family don't know and I would prefer that they didn't.

So I don't know if there is anyone else on here who is living in China or knows whether you can get anti-depressants of the counter/what the name for them is in Mandarin.

Sorry for the long winded post. It's late and i'm tired.

Surely what you see the doctor about remains private in China even if your company pays for your health insurance. You really need to see a professional about what to take.

This. It should be easy to find one in China... I would not mess in any case with any over-the-counter substances.

idk but if one sees a doctor i don't see why your employer would know. they have more imp. things to do than to research who their employees are seeing in the medical profession. is it different in china? also does china possess a law that would make this practice unlawful? in the us there is such a law tio protect ppl from this snooping/hippa act. some years ago before this law i went out-of-network to protect myself. paid more but i had a sense of safety/privacy by doing so.
