I had a similar reaction on Prozac. I more than doubled my weight in roughly three months. I'm still struggling to get the weight off, although I'm not on the Prozac anymore.

I'm in no position to tell you if you should take your meds or not, that's up to you and your pdoc, but if I could do it all over again I would not take the Prozac. There's plenty of other meds out there, and I'm miserable at the weight I am now. But that's just my own personal opinion.
Thanks for this!

If your self-image is important to you (which does not mean you are vain... people judge us by the way we look and increased weight carries a lot of heath risks too), than I would talk to doctor about alternatives. Do not let yourself sway with the "rather fat and happy and thin and depressed" because the truth is for many people fat and happy does not go together.
