Hi ~ I've been suffering from depression and anxiety ever since I was a child. I'm now 61yrs old!! I do take meds and they work great! I'm now taking Cymbalta along with Abilify at night and these two are helping me immensely. I take Cymbalta 60mg twice a day, and Abilify 2mg at night. Since the doc added the Abilify, things have been a lot better. I've had a really good year - even this winter was good and I live in Michigan!!! We're normally gloomy & gray during the winter and I felt great!

I hope you can find a medication that works well for you! Talk it over with your doctor. God bless. Hugs, Lee

This is pure coincidence--like Lee, I am 61 years old, live in Michigan, and am on Cymbalta! I take 60 mg 2x a day and have Remeron for my add-on med. It's helped my mood tremendously. I'm one of those with a genetic predisposition to depression. Had taken Prozac for about 20 years, but a low dose, and it had stopped working under some tremendous personal stresses which put me in a bad, suicidal depression. Took a while to be effective--at least six weeks till I was noticeably better. But now I am. Helps with the anxiety, too, to make me calmer. Still workingon the stressors with therapist. Good luck to you!
