Depression feels like a vortex trying to swallow me up. It takes so much work to try and act in my own interest and take care of myself. I am trying. But the moment I rest, or run out of ideas of what I should be doing with myself, I am sucked back into the death vortex and feel like giving up on everything in my life. Will it ever take less energy to fight it? Is it worth it?

I know the vortex well. It does get better- shorter times.

Hugs (((((((( MythicalOne ))))))))
![]() Some people get completely better and some people have relapses but learn to cope with it better. I'm sorry you are feeling this way right now but you'll find you will get more good days. Therapy and/or medication can help and of course sharing with other people that can relate. Keep talking.
