Thank you Jill, Fuzzy, and Lady..................I've been thinking alot the last few days and esp. today. I had an appt with my T today and he pushed a few buttons. I'm always pensive when I leave, but today more so.

Last night at work some of the employees got together and gave my boss and myself some gifts. They had a cake (choc) which said "Good luck Jeff & Mary Alice" on it decorated. They gave me a beautiful white rose, a pen, a champagne glass with confetti in it along with a plastic little glass of bubbly..... I didn't leave till midnight. Alex called me in hysterics because my husband was being his normal self - angry because I was at the store late and enjoying myself with my coworkers.

I ended up going back to the hotel and driving home right then and there - it was the only thing that calmed Alex down. I got home about 2am.......after being pulled over by an officer because I was sort of weaving on the road - tiredness as I explained to the officer. He let me go after telling me to be careful.

Got to bed by 3am - up early for my appt. Took Alex out as a Ninja and he had a blast. My leg and back had a hard time of it but otherwise it was well worth it.

I took some pain killers and trying to relax. I prayed all the way home this morning that no deer would run in front of me and that I'd get home to Alex to calm him down...[sigh].

Anyway, I hope all of you had a terrific evening and got lots of candy. (((((Mary Alice))))) = An All Hallows Eve Shout Out....

Thanks for caring......it means alot.

We got 6 trick or treaters tonight, how disppointing. And we live in a real nice, safe neighborhood. I remember the days when two or three bags of candy wasn't enough. Things sure have changed, haven't they?

I noticed that tonight.......there are less kids out and we only had one bag filled - used to be 2-3.

It's a shame that it isn't safe out there anymore. I think I saw maybe 10 kids myself. And not too many porch lights on either.

Alex could hardly wait..........lol. Poor mom fell asleep on the couch - next thing I know he's pushing at me saying, "Mom, it's 5 o'clock. It's time to GO"...... I was soooo not awake.

Just wanted to say hello to you hun and hope that you got some rest.

I am still tired from all the trick and treating with the boys (((((Mary Alice))))) = An All Hallows Eve Shout Out... We actually had quite a few kids this year...it was exceptionally mild out I think which had a lot to do with it. Woohoo - no snowsuits this year!!! Glad you got home safely. What will the job be like after training is done and you are home?

It sounds like trick-or-treating with Alex was good, but I'm sorry the walking hurt you. It was cold here. Halloween morning we woke up to snow, which melted a lot during the day but not completely. Today it looks like winter out there, and is still snowing. I'm going to get a picture up on my website, but I have to get brave enough to go out there and take one first. I need to feed the sheep anyway.

My kids got plenty of candy. The youngest one already ate it all. We only had one group of trick-or-treaters (4 kids) at the house, but people just don't go house to house anymore. Groups meet up at the church parking lot and have "trunk-or-treating" instead, just walking around car to car. Some businesses have trick-or-treating available too, like the manufactured home dealers. It's just not the same. We don't need all the candy (this way we actually tend to get and distrubute a lot more, but just hand it out faster), but I don't think it's as fun as it used to be. But maybe for the kids it still is.
