No it's not the movie, sorry I'm not going to cut my leg off in some cheesy horror film with a stupid puppet guy.

This is for Suicide Awareness Week. I want teens in middle school to know what it really is, and all that pertains to the subject. Any thoughts of what I should do?

Any input is extremely appreciated! Thank you so much

You could do a presentation in assembly about it?

BrokenRainbow, you beat me to it.

I think that's a good idea. I know my children's schools always welcome experts in particular topics to come in and talk to the kids. Suicide is such a crucial issue, and teenagerhood is so difficult (IMO), I would think school administrators would welcome the opportunity for you to come in and give a talk/presentation.

And I was glad to see you weren't posting about the SAW movies! I haven't seen 'em, never will, although I do like scary stuff.

Look at the suicide resources on the top of this page. Might be some material you could read or share. Check if you need permission.

look at To Write Love on Her Arms (http://www.twloha.com) they are a group that deals with depression and suicide awareness and are aimed at younger people. Maybe you could get an idea from there.

I think it is great that you are doing this! Good luck!
Thanks for this!
