Just wanted to share that I had a pretty good day today. Lunch with a friend, and then this evening, I planted tomatoes with my neighbor's 7-year old daughter. Gardening with a 7-year old is fun, but also an exercise in letting go of some control over the outcome... probably good for my sometimes perfectionistic self.

I'm still struggling with my depression, which is fortunately at a reasonably managable level right now. Since things are a little better, I've been working at being more in the moment and appreciating the small things. I started a gratitude journal last week to help me remember them. I'm hoping that I can look back over it when I'm feeling awful, and that it will help a little.

So many of my posts on PC are about my more difficult moments... I wanted to share something about the more positive side of my life as well, as both seem to be part of my reality.

peace,
garden gal
Thanks for this!

You sound very peaceful in your writing. I'm glad you had such a nice day.
Your gardening sounds fun and like you did a really nice job of being a fun adult to be with for the 7 year old.

Thanks for sharing your good day!!
Thanks for this!
