I am still having serious problems with my daughter who is 25. Has'nt left the house only 2 times in 7 months. She has had 2 counseling appts to get meds and did not go. We went and talked to the docters. We thought we had insurance, but found out my husband did not have her signed up on his plan at work. Big misunderstanding. No insurance-plans are too expensive. She has been in 2 psch wards for depression and bad experience"s with both. Was on meds, but quit thought she was better. You get the picture. We are looking into Medicade. Will she qualify? She has no income now. She doesnt want to leave the house. I really dont want a medical crises team coming to my house. It is really a mess. No family here to help me. thank you, M

Welcome...glad you were able to post!
Usually each state establishes the income guidelines which are based on household make up...which includes you and your husband. It sounds like it is a really rough time for you and your daughter. Its a tough place to be in when it appears she doesn't want help. Though my guess, deep down inside, she is really wishing it would all stop. Something like a DBSA or NAMI group meeting might help her...group meetings lead by others who suffer. It can be helpful to see that others have or are having struggles and how they are figuring it out...establishes some friends who "get her"...get's her out to stop isolating so. Somehow she'll need to get to a point of realizing the need for professional help. My heart goes out to you!
