My doc asked me a good while ago if I have ever been happy...my reply was No.
Has anyone been happy?

Happiness, for me, isn't a longstanding mood. It's in the little things - like realizing I drew a picture perfectly or receiving praise for my work. This feeling never lasts, though, and I find myself struggling to enjoy those moments of inner peace again. "Happiness" might not be the right word, because mine rests on gaining the approval of others.
Happy for long periods of time? Childhood.

Happiness is an after affect when something happens. One can be happy after he or she does something and think what was I thinking or feels good when it worked out for the best. But for one to be happy, one will have to pit him or her self out there to get that after affect.

I've often thought people confuse happiness with contentment... happiness is not a sustainable emotion, IMO...
