Hello there!

My experience with prozac will probably differ from most people who reply to this post, simply because I have Bipolar Disorder. Prozac worked really well for me, then it worked too well. I became severely manic, had hallucinations, delusions, and feelings of paranoia. It all ended with a suicide attempt, a hospital visit during which I stopped taking prozac, and all was well after that.

Despite my negative experience with this medication, I have met people who had positive results with it. I hope you're one of those people who does well with prozac.
Thanks for this!

Hi ~ I was on Prozac for a LONG TIME due to depression. It worked GREAT for me -- the only reason I changed to something else is because the Prozac stopped working for me. After you're on a drug for a long length of time, sometimes you become "accustomed" to it and it doesn't work as well anymore. But it's a good medication.

Just remember one thing -- it takes anywhere from 3 weeks to 6 weeks for the drug to start working. You MUST be patient -- plus at first you might feel a little "edgy" or nervous ~~ then all of a sudden you'll realize that things have evened out -- that the depression has lifted and you're feeling great!

I hope it works for you. Take care & best of luck. Hugs, Lee
Thanks for this!

Prozac only works for me if I take it Cymbalta for some odd reason.
Despite that I've had fairly good results.
Do give it enough time.
Thanks for this!
