ive always been depressed... except when on regular doses of medication.

i got off it for about 6 months and now i'm 2 weeks into taking it again and my depressions has progressively gotten worse since i started back up. it's the same medication i was doing GREAT on last year... but it's different now... i dont know why. it's stressful... and all i want to do is sleep forever.

the worst part is i have a son and i hate being this way. he deserves a happy momma.

oh, btw im on prozac. ... well a generic version. fluoxetine.

Hello & Welcome, Aimeeislost! Here are a few questions to think about -- no need to answer:
  • Have you informed your prescribing doctor of what you are currently experiencing?
  • In the past how long did it take for you to feel comfortable on medication?
  • Is it possible you may be ill with something in addition to depression?
Wishing you improvement and good outcomes!

It sounds like you need to be talking to a therapist, along with getting medication. Maybe you are. Look at the circumstances of your life that may have changed in a way that is stressful for you. Something is different for you, compared to the last time you got things under control with your med.

I hope you get to feeling better. It's hard to have the responsibility of a child when you are not well.
