Depression for me = Insomnia, loss of appetite, body aches, inability to have fun doing anything.

AND...

Insomnia, loss of appetite, body aches, inability to have fun doing anything = Depression.

UGH!

Hi ~ I know the feeling well. But why not do something about it? Talk to your medical doctor -- he/she can refer you to a good therapist. Living with depression is extremely difficult, and it affects every part of your life. Your doctor might even put you TEMPORARILY on an antidepressant.

You don't have to suffer like this. Get some help. God bless & take care. Hugs, Lee

I would have insomnia if I were not on medication that puts me to sleep. I highly recommend medication for this purpose. Without a regular sleep pattern, life has no possibility for orderliness. Without some order, nothing can get accomplished,

Yeah. I'm on meds... 0.5 Xanax at night which used to knock me out. Then the other meds during the day. And counseling twice a week. But you know how it goes- good days and bad days... Just lately it's been the insomnia and no appetite (LOTS of stress at work)
Thanks for the responses you're absolutely right about needing some consistency in sleep and all. Would be helpful.

Your right it is a viscous circle. The stress at work wont help but thats one of lifes things we have to deal with unfortunately. i no the insomnia and loss of appetite well. the insomnia for me is worse cudnt care less about the food (i've a bad attitude towards food anyway) but not being able to sleep i hate that.

Danii- pretty much agree with you on the food thing. I'm enjoying watching the scale drop. But at the same time it makes me feel worse physically so it's a catch 22. But defanitly would rather that then insomnia. I used to sleep for ever during depressive episodes like 13 hours when I had the chance and sti be near impossible to wake up. Last night I got 3-4 hours interuppted. Was wide awake 2 1/2 hours before my alarm
