hi there. some depression can last a long time. chronic can last for a year, some cases last for a month.
The ways to getting better faster are numerous, but are you going to therapy ??? have you seena doctor and checked for physical causes of your low mood such as thyroid, vitaimin deficiency, etc?

Some depressions can be shorter, while others can last longer. You say you are not finding your doctor and therapy beneficial...are you currently taking any medication? It took a LONG time (about 2 years) to finally find a medication combo that worked for me. Patience is key if you are trying the medication route. Also, there are different types of therapy available...if you are not benefiting from one kind, perhaps you could suggest trying another? Just some thoughts that came to mind while reading your post.
I hope you find some moments of happiness during this tough time. ![]() |

keep working on it, try making little changes in life which makes you happy. Try to avoid or overcome the things which makes you depressed. try to be with family and friends who can motivate you.
