You’re probably feeling that you want to suicide, I just need you to pause your want to suicide long enough to read this page and since you’ve visited this page I believe that even a small bit of yourself doesn’t want you to suicide, maybe 1% - you might consider this a small bit but I don’t consider this. I will appreciate it a lot if you read this page, I am sure it will help even 1% or maybe a bit more.

And since you’re reading this page I consider this a very large and very positive step, it means you care about yourself which is very important. At this moment I want to congratulate you for taking the effort to search for this page.

Before I continue I want you to do two deep breaths, I want you to breathe in and then breathe out.

A lot of people want to suicide for various reasons; personally I have also wanted to suicide so I know exactly what you feel and what you are thinking.
I want you to take a couple of moments and think to yourself, why do you want to suicide? To help you I’ve put some questions beneath:
  • Did someone disappoint you?
  • Did someone make you feel that you’re unneeded?
  • Did someone make you feel unwanted?

There are several feelings that you may currently have, I want you to read the list below and note down on paper the feelings, you may have other feelings that I haven’t mentioned below.
  • Sad
  • Angry
  • Depressed
  • Rejected
  • Confused

Good, you now should have some information as to why you want to suicide and the feelings, this is very positive.

Suicide is not something that we choose; suicidal thoughts is caused by what happened, the important thing to remember is that whatever happened it can be dealt with. It might sound easy to say and difficult to get it done, I understand this feeling but believe me it’s not as hard as you think it is.

I know you’re feeling that time is passing very slowly, an hour seems like a day and a day seems like a month. I understand this feeling that the day is endless, it’s as if the clock has stopped functioning - don’t worry as we can fix the clock.

At this stage I want to thank you for continuing to read this page, this means a lot to me and I hope to you and I think you should congratulate yourself. You’ve delayed to suicide for a couple of minutes which is of extreme importance for me and I hope to you also as it means that you’re a bit unsure that you want to suicide. It means that one part of you wants to suicide, maybe the biggest part but another part wants to live - let us hold onto this part for some more minutes.

I understand that you are currently feeling pain being unbearable; I understand that you can’t handle it; I know what this pain is and how hard this pain is for you.

Suicide is created when the pain we feel is greater than what we can handle.

Because you want to suicide it does not mean that you are crazy, it does not mean that you are different, it does not mean that you actually want to take your life. Suicide occurs when the pain you feel is greater than what you can handle.

Take an example, you injure yourself while playing a game and you faint - in this case you’ve fainted because your resources to cope with the pain are not as much as the pain - don’t worry as we can increase these resources to help you handle the pain in a better way.

I have 6 things that I want you to think about:
  1. A lot of people that feel suicidal do manage to get through this, even people with problems as large and difficult as yours.
  2. I want you to give yourself some distance from suicide, I want you to tell yourself I will suicide in 24 hours or 5 days or a week or maybe more. I know you want to suicide, you want to suicide due to the feelings that you have, this doesn’t mean that you need to suicide now. You’ve already delayed to suicide by more than 5 minutes, this is very encouraging.
  3. Suicide is not the solution, you may think that by suiciding you will be relieved from pain, relief is a feeling and you need to be alive in order to be able to feel. You will not feel this relief once you take your life.
  4. I don’t want you deal with this thought alone, I want you to share this with someone you trust, and this can be your psychologist, a family member or even a friend. There are a lot of people who want to help you at this very difficult moment; I want you to search for one of these people.
  5. Visiting a Psychologist will provide you with someone you can trust your thoughts and your feelings to. Your psychologist will help guide you through these intensive thoughts.
  6. Taking Anti-Depressant medicine will also help you a lot, I know you probably don’t want to drink medicine and I understand the reasons. However the medicine will help you increase your resources to cope with the problem. Unlike what you have maybe heard you won’t be taking medicine your whole life, you’ll just take medicine for a small period of your life; until your coping resources are increased and balance out or are more than your pain.

Well, you’ve been on this page for more than 5 minutes already, well done. I want you to take some paper and a pen and write anything you think of; spend 5 minutes or even more if you wish.

Now I want you to call someone to ask for help, this can be anyone you want. Even better if you can arrange a meeting with this someone.

Once you’re done with the phone call here are some things that will help you and will help your time to pass quicker:
  • Listen to calm songs, I will personally recommend that you listen to Selena Gomez & The Scene - Who Says. While you’re listening to this song I want to concentrate on the lyrics.
  • I want you to play a nice and relaxing game, my personal recommendations is the games at bigfishgames.com.
  • The breathing technique you learnt above, when you feel your thoughts overtaking your brain just do two deep breaths
