Hello All!

I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and tell you a little about me.

I am from Pennsylvania. I have suffered from some form of depression for what seems to me like forever. I have tried many different types of medication and am currently on Effexor. I have been feeling very depressed again lately and have an appointment with my physician next week.

I was hoping that perhaps by joining a support group such as this one, that I might be able to share my own experiences with depression as well as to benefit from the experiences of others in an effort to help all of us to get better.

I am just so tired of feeling this way. I just can't tell you what it would mean to feel good again! I am do not like having to drag myself through each day fulfilling my obligations. I want to once again experience how it feels to really be alive and to have enthusiasm and energy to do the things I once loved to do. Currently, if I had my druthers, I would just stay in bed. I know that this group will understand my feelings.

Thanks for listening and I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you better and hoping to be a supportive member.

Sherry, welcome to the forums. I am sure you will find a lot of people here who can relate to your feelings of depression and frustration.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you better...btw, I'm from Pennsylvania, too. INTRODUCTION

*hugs*

Thanks for those of you who welcomed me to the group! I was getting a little worried that no one would respond which was making me nervous about joining. I think it's important as a new person to feel that others are glad to have you in the group. It's a little difficult for newbies to feel a part of a group where others know one another.

Thanks again for the two people who welcomed me!

Hugs,

Sherry

Hi, Sherry and welcome to the board. You've certainly come to the right place. We're a bunch of great people even if I do say so myself. INTRODUCTION

It is tough the first time you post, isn't it? Maybe on other boards some people get ignored but not here. We're all happy to make new friends, so relax, pull up a chair and "set a spell." INTRODUCTION

Hey Sherry,

I'm a day late and a dollar short, but welcome to the forums! I hope you really enjoy it here and get lots of support. It's a very wonderful group!

Be well,
