I am going to the doctor soon about my depressions and sleep problems. My parents know that I think I have depression but I haven't told them anything more. What should I tell the doctor? I don't think I should tell her that I cut myself sometimes. I dont want anyone to know. Should I tell her I have suicidal thoughts or would she think it was really serious? I think I should tell her that. Please help... I just don't know what to say and I don't want to tell her something I'll regret. Help???
I'm 13 btw. Thanks in advance ![]()

Just be honest. The dr can't really help you unless you are open and honest with him/her.

You sould be honest with your doctors. They can not help you otherwise. Feel out the doctor if you don't trust him/her don't tell them every thing but seak out another doctor right away. Good luck.
